About the Global Wetland Center
In the Global Wetland Center, we want to design novel approaches for modelling wetlands’ greenhouse gas budgets that can guide wetland management. This will enable wetlands to contribute to the global agenda towards climate neutrality.
Organisation
The center is a collaboration between four institutions in the greater Copenhagen area:
- The Department of Geosciences and Natural Resource Management (University of Copenhagen), experts in modelling and measuring greenhouse gas emissions and remote sensing of wetlands
- The Department of Computer Science (University of Copenhagen), eperts in machine learning and AI techniques
- DHI A/S, experts in remote sensing and modelling of wetlands and development of climate change mitigation scenarios
- The Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS), experts in modelling and remote sensing of hydrology
