New member of Global Wetland Center
The Global Wetland Center is thrilled to welcome the newest member of the team, Navid Ahmadi!
Navid is a senior researcher and specialist in the Department of Data and Analytics at DHI A/S and comes with a PhD in Environmental Engineering at Technical University of Denmark (2018-2022), focusing on mechanistic understanding of gas exchange processes across the soil/atmosphere interface under atmospheric forcing, using multiphase and multicomponent reactive transport models and detailed lab-scale experiments. Upon competition of his PhD, he moved to Germany and completed a postdoc in the group of Aquatic Geochemistry at Technical University of Darmstadt (2022-2024), focused on understanding mineral dissolution/precipitation dynamics and reactive transport phenomena, under transient water dynamic conditions promoted by evaporative drying in soil systems. His role at DHI A/S will be associated with the Global Wetland Center and will aim to quantify greenhouse gas emissions from wetlands at regional/global scale by integration of hydro-biogeochemical models with Earth observation data. Welcome!
